Bayerisches Pilgerbüro is one of the oldest tour operators in Germany. The Christian tour operator was founded in 1925 in Munich and offers a wide range of carefully designed trips for pilgrims, study- and hiking tours as well as selected cruises around the world. The main destinations are located within the Holy Land and Southeast Europe. Furthermore, the tour operator also offers long-distance journeys to places of pilgrimage in Mexico or educational trips to Africa. A special focus is put on trips along the Camino de Santiago trail with stages in Germany, Switzerland, France, Portugal and Spain. Most of the journeys are guided not just by professional and passionate tour guides, but also by a clerical guide as spiritual impetus and cultivation of community are core characteristics of the Bayerisches Pilgerbüro. The tour operator is an officially registered association and has received for the second time an award for sustainability and social responsibility in tourism by TourCert in 2017.
