Patina Maldives on the Fari Islands in the North Malé Atoll is the first resort of the emerging lifestyle brand Patina Hotels & Resorts. This Maldivian five-star resort combines laid-back island living with clear design and a comprehensive sustainability concept. The 90 water villas and 20 studios were designed by renowned Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan, blending harmoniously into the tropical nature. Flowing lines, an architecture that merges indoor and outdoor spaces, and a thoughtful interplay of materials characterize Kogan’s purist-elegant style, marking his debut in hotel design. The Fari Art Atelier hosts rotating international artists-in-residence; a special highlight is the James Turrell Skyspace Pavilion, whose open ceiling creates fascinating optical effects as daylight changes.

The resort’s holistic concept includes thirteen different restaurants – among them the plant-based Roots – as well as an extensive spa with traditional hammam, Watsu treatment rooms, saunas, and a floating pod experience. The commitment to sustainability encompasses a consistent zero-waste strategy, plastic collection and recycling in partnership with Parley for the Oceans, and coral restoration workshops with the resort’s resident marine biologist. Launched in 2025 in collaboration with The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, the yearly Fari Islands Festival introduces a new dimension of cultural tourism, centered around art, music, gastronomy, wellness, and conscious living.

segara Listicle: Traumziel Malediven

Veröffentlicht: 21. September 2026
