segara welcomes the luxury eco-resort Wa Ale in the portfolio
Munich / Myanmar, 31 July 2019 – This is what the end of the world feels like – a small and lush island in the south of Myanmar. Here, owners Chris and Farina Kingsley have made their dream of a sustainable paradise come true. Not only has not a single palm tree been felled for Wa Ale, but also the building materials for the accommodations – in noble tents or close-to-nature tree houses – were recycled and brought back to life. The protection of life above and below the water plays the main role at Wa Ale, and a foundation has even been set up to finance activities to protect the sea and support the nearby community. “Wa Ale is an absolute pioneer when it comes to sustainable tourism that gives something back. The respect for nature and the social projects impress and move the team of segara Kommunikation. It is a matter of the heart for us to support Wa Ale in its launch in the German-speaking market and to make it a success story”, says Heike Götz, Managing Director of segara Kommunikation. “In addition to andBeyond, the private islands Fregate Island Private and Laucala Island, Wa Ale is another sustainable project in the portfolio of segara Kommunikation, whose team specialises in luxury resorts with character and history”.
